Background
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) provides opportunities for refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, survivors of torture, and other immigrants to thrive in America. Each year, thousands of people forced to flee violence and persecution are welcomed into safety in the United States. These individuals have shown remarkable resilience.
IRC Seattle has supported communities in Washington State for over 50 years, helping individuals rebuild their lives and strengthen their communities.
Scope of Internship
Program support role assisting the SASIC team, including data entry, case file review, documentation, administrative support, and program logistics as needed.
This placement is not intended to meet clinical supervision requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support routine data entry and updates in SASIC trackers (Excel) and ETO
- Assist with compiling and cleaning data for internal tracking
- Perform basic data quality checks within ETO
- Review SASIC case files to ensure all required documentation is complete
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling client information
- Coordinate with the SASIC team through brief check-ins
Ideal Candidate
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets (sorting, filters, basic formulas)
- Able to follow documentation and data privacy practices
- Reliable with strong communication and follow-through
- Interested in nonprofit and asylum support work
Location
Remote role supporting the SASIC team based in SeaTac, WA
Time Commitment
Six-month internship, with weekly hours aligned with school requirements and program needs
