The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is dedicated to delivering humanitarian aid and supporting communities affected by crises and hardships around the world. This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in extending our help to those in need.
In 2024, the IRC reached over 36.5 million people with humanitarian aid across more than 40 crisis-affected countries—including the frontlines of Ukraine, Sudan and Gaza. We helped over 2.3 million people access clean water, delivered more than 7.8 million vaccination doses, and reached more than 1.7 million people with malnutrition prevention services.
Donate this Giving Tuesday to help provide healthcare, education, shelter and other critical resources to families in areas besieged by crisis.
What is Giving Tuesday?
Founded in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation, Giving Tuesday has grown into a global movement that is widely embraced across social media platforms. Its importance lies in encouraging donations and promoting a spirit of global unity and kindness. By donating, you can enhance the impact of your contributions and help extend their reach.
Save the date for December 2, 2025—a day dedicated to supporting those in need, offering a meaningful alternative to commercial events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Your support this Giving Tuesday will help the IRC protect and empower communities, turning generous contributions into impactful actions. Let us unite to create a brighter future for those in need.
How to support the IRC's humanitarian response
- Monetary Donations: Direct financial contributions are one of the most effective ways to assist the IRC. Funds raised help deliver essential services including healthcare, education, and economic support to refugees and displaced communities.
- Fundraising Campaigns: You can initiate or participate in fundraising campaigns tailored to supporting specific IRC projects. These campaigns can be conducted through platforms like social media, where sharing your campaign can amplify its reach and impact.
- Corporate Giving: Businesses can participate by matching employee donations, offering direct contributions, or sponsoring specific IRC programs. This not only supports the IRC but also promotes corporate social responsibility.
- Volunteer Efforts: While monetary support is crucial, donating your time and expertise can also make a significant difference. Depending on your location and skills, volunteer opportunities with the IRC might include community outreach, administrative support, or event coordination.
Join us in transforming compassion into action—your support can change lives and build a brighter future for those who need it most.
