1. Financial Support
The most effective way to support families rebuilding their lives is through a financial gift to the IRC in Denver. Flexible funding allows IRC staff to respond the moment a crisis arises—whether that’s securing emergency housing, providing essential household supplies, covering transportation to a new job, or helping a family navigate an unexpected medical need.
Every household’s journey to stability is different. By making a financial donation, you empower the IRC to meet the unique needs of each client with dignity, speed, and care. 2. Amazon Wish List
One of the most effective ways to support families is by purchasing items directly from our Amazon Wish List! Items are shipped to the Denver office and staff distribute directly to clients based on need. The wish list will be updated as client needs change. Some current items include:
- Gift cards for food and emergency needs
- Essential household items
- Cleaning supplies
- Hygiene products

3. Group Collection Projects
Community groups, faith partners, clubs, and companies may organize donation drives for high‑need items. Past examples have included winter coats, assembled hygiene kits or assembled backpacks and school supplies.
Please contact us before starting a collection to confirm what items are needed and ensure we have capacity to store and distribute items. Please email IRCDenver.Donations@Rescue.org with inquiries.
4. Donation Drop‑Off: by appointment only
We are able to accept pre‑approved donations by appointment only. Please review details below for items we current accept, items we do not accept, and how to submit a donation inquiry.

- Clothing and shoes
- Furniture
- Electronics
- Toys and stuffed animals
- We recommend donating these and other items Arc Thrift Stores: Arc provides vouchers and other items to IRC clients and community members.
To inquire about a donation drop‑off:
- Contact the IRC by email (IRCDenver.Donations@Rescue.org) or phone (720-328-6655) with details about what items you would like to donate.
- The donation address will be given at appointment. Note some items will be dropped off at the IRC office and others may be delivered to IRC's storage or program sites.
5. Volunteer
We welcome community volunteers to share their time and expertise to support our clients and mission! Volunteer opportunities include are posted according to current positions available. Volunteers must be 18+ years old and children are welcome with supervising adults in rare cases. All volunteers must pass a background check.
