  2. Email a one-page resume and one-page cover letter to [email protected] with “Fall Internship Application” in the subject line. In your cover letter, indicate which position(s) you are applying for. If applying for multiple positions, please indicate your order of preference.

Detailed below are currently available internship opportunities.

Intensive Case Management (ICM) Intern

Interns will provide valuable services to clients based on need. Interns will collaborate with the ICM caseworker to establish and develop programs and lead groups with clients. Sample activities  include assisting clients in applying for and renewing benefits, designing curriculum to teach life skills and leading group classes. Must be comfortable working with at-risk clients. 

Case Management Intern

Case management interns provide direct client service to support refugees as they adjust to life in the United States. IRC offers a client-centered service model that focuses on client strengths. Interns will often work with interpreters. In addition to services such as arranging and accompanying refugees to medical appointments, applying for public benefits and subsidized housing, and enrolling children in school, case management interns provide assistance in preparing for new arrivals in various capacities.

Employment Services Intern

Employment services interns will assist in providing a comprehensive scope of employment services, including, but not limited to, assisting clients in identify short- and long-term employment goals, completing job applications, and coaching clients requesting job upgrades. The employment services intern will also assist with providing job readiness trainings to new arrivals.
