As we celebrate Volunteer Week, we want to recognize our dedicated volunteers who make our work possible. At the heart of what we do is our strong community that shows up, gives back, and supports our mission. None of this work could be accomplished without the time, energy, and passion of our volunteers, and across all of our locations, every volunteer group has played a vital role in creating a lasting impact.
In Miami, volunteers support a wide range of impactful programs. They assist survivors of human trafficking through casework support and help immigrant youth through tutoring, English café assistance, and educational programming. These efforts helped clients and their families to build skills, confidence, and a stronger foundation for future success.
In addition to direct service, volunteers play an essential role in day-to-day operations by sorting and distributing donations and ensuring vital resources reach those who need them most. Through both hands-on support and ongoing engagement, they help individuals gain stability, develop essential skills, and pursue new opportunities.
So far this fiscal year, volunteers in Miami have contributed more than 1,500 hours to these efforts. Their commitment strengthens the broader community and fosters stability, empowerment, and a sense of welcome.
From direct service to community engagement, our volunteers embody a spirit of collaboration and enthusiasm that supports our work every day and uplifts the communities we serve. We’re deeply grateful for each and every volunteer who chooses to give their time and energy to this work. Thank you!
