Do you speak another language? Join the International Rescue Committee in New York as a Community Interpreter Volunteer to help interpret for newly arrived refugees and immigrants. 

Outside Magazine features an innovative program from the IRC and Vertical Generation that is helping refugee youth learn skills and gain confidence to climb walls - both in and outside the climbing gym.

For the past five years, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and the IKEA Foundation have been solving this challenge through the Re:BUiLD (Refugees in East Africa: Boosting Urban Innovations for Livelihoods Development) program. In partnership with the IKEA Foundation, Re:BUiLD brings together the International Rescue Committee (IRC), the Center for Global Development (CGD), Open Capital (OCA), Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and Nairobi City County Government (NCCG). Re:BUiLD is committed to generate and share evidence for innovative, sustainable livelihood solutions that can be adopted to support refugees and host residents in other cities in East Africa and beyond.

The Al-Mustafa Foundation's Girl Scout Troop learns budgeting basics while leading an effort to provide Eid gifts for refugee families served by the IRC in Salt Lake City. Since 2008, their partnership has shown an outpouring of generosity.

Since 2020, the IRC in Silver Spring experienced a 500% increase in the number of individuals we serve. The IRC in Silver Spring is committed to help refugees and immigrants rebuild their lives in the United States. The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Utah is pleased to present its 2024 Community Impact Report, providing a summary of accomplishments and supports provided to refugees and new Americans in Utah between October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024.
