Location: El Cajon office
Dates Needed/Minimum Commitment:
- Minimum 3 month commitment, August-October 2019
- Minimum 4 hours per week
Times Needed: (subject to change)
- Flexible, during business hours 8:30am-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Assist Career Development staff with administrative needs such data entry, filing, and database quality assurance.
- Work individually with clients (refugee and non-refugee youth and adults) with resume review, job searching, networking opportunities, and interview prep.
- Provide one-on-one technical assistance sessions to participants with limited English proficiency.
- Support staff with program outreach efforts.
- Assist training staff with other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in any field.
- Experience creating resumes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with data tracking systems preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills (comfortable communicating in larger group settings as well as working one-on-one with clients, and professional phone and email etiquette).
Training/Preparation:
- Attend a general IRC Orientation (1 hour)
- Additional one on one staff training
