Location: El Cajon office

Dates Needed/Minimum Commitment:

  • Minimum 3 month commitment, August-October 2019
  • Minimum 4 hours per week 

Times Needed: (subject to change)

  • Flexible, during business hours 8:30am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Career Development staff with administrative needs such data entry, filing, and database quality assurance.
  • Work individually with clients (refugee and non-refugee youth and adults) with resume review, job searching, networking opportunities, and interview prep.
  • Provide one-on-one technical assistance sessions to participants with limited English proficiency. 
  • Support staff with program outreach efforts. 
  • Assist training staff with other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred. 
  • 3+ years of professional experience in any field. 
  • Experience creating resumes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with data tracking systems preferred. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills (comfortable communicating in larger group settings as well as working one-on-one with clients, and professional phone and email etiquette). 

Training/Preparation:

  • Attend a general IRC Orientation (1 hour)
  • Additional one on one staff training
