Description
This position connects you to one family or individual client for 3-9 months to help with their adjustment to life in Denver. Support one-on-one as a Community Connector and help ease a refugee family or individual’s transition into their new community. Community Connectors will focus on a refugee’s English acquisition, socialization of American culture, and integration into the local community. Based on each client’s needs, Community Connectors will visit local attractions, parks, libraries, museums, and community centers. Community Connectors will also assist with opening bank accounts, learning where to pay bills, navigating transportation, and more.
Location: Various in-home locations—Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, Northglenn areas.

Community Connectors will attend a group orientation to understand the needs of the client population and then will be paired with an individual or family to work with.
