COMMITMENT:
Intern: Minimum 15 hours a week for at least 4 full months or 240 hours total
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Assist the Youth Connections Coach in program implementation and administration
o Track and record client progress and activities
o Conduct outreach for mentors and program participants
o Assist with planning youth outings and activities
o Assist with helping refugee youth develop personal goals
o Assist in planning and running refugee youth girls’ summer workshop
REQUIRED SKILLS:
o All volunteers and interns must be 18+ years of age and clear a background check
o Background or previous study and interest in human rights, forced migration, and/or human trafficking
o Experience working directly with youth aged 15-24
o Microsoft office proficiency, especially excel
o Comfortable doing outreach to clients on the phone and in person
o Experience working with multi-lingual individuals and/or persons with limited English language skills (Dari and Spanish speakers encouraged to apply)
