Join one of the largest one-day giving movements in the country!
Each December Coloradans come together with the common goal to strengthen the community by helping to power nonprofits. Community First Foundation and FirstBank partner to make this day rewarding for givers, nonprofits, and the community as a whole. Support the IRC in Denver this year on Colorado Gives Day, December 7, 2021!
Colorado Gives Day features a $1 Million+ Incentive Fund. Every nonprofit receiving a donation on Colorado Gives Day receives a portion of the fund, increasing the impact and the value of every dollar donated. Colorado Gives Day has grown to be Colorado's largest one-day online giving event, raising more than $307 million since it began in 2010. Starting November 1, you can schedule your donation to be processed on December 7.
How donating to the IRC helps the community
Whether you donate $5 or $5,000 to the IRC in Denver, you are making a positive impact in the lives of Colorado’s newest community members. Here is some of the good you will contribute toward:
- Afghan refugees and humanitarian parolees being connected to the resettlement services they need to thrive in their new community
- Refugee women who feel isolated in their homes being connected to a supportive community through psychosocial support and wellness programs
- A new arrival receiving health access education and being connected to primary care
- A family receiving financial coaching and credit-building loans as they plan for their future
- New Coloradans being supported during their job search
- A newly resettled family being welcomed into their new home with a hot meal and a warm bed
- A survivor of torture continuing to receive much needed medical, mental health, and psychosocial support services to support their rehabilitation
- An asylum-seeker receiving legal assistance with their case
- A refugee receiving help pursuing citizenship
- A family being able to make their rent payment this month
