This past December, the IRC in LA's GenR chapter helped spread holiday cheer to over 45 refugees and their families by donating over 70 gifts this holiday season!

Through their generousity and partnership, children from Central America received new soccer balls, running shoes, toys, and dollhouses. Newly arrived families from Iran, Syria, and Afghanistan received essential items for their homes such as towels, pots and pans, and Target gift cards, and several families even received new laptops, tablets, and TVs that were on their wishlists. These items are extremely beneficial, but are things we aren't usually able to provide for families, so we rely on the generousity of donors such as GenR.

In addition to the gifts, families enjoyed a potluck of holiday goodies including roast chicken, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, pies, and of course, eggnog!

The IRC in LA extends our sincerest thanks and gratitude to the GenR members who have dedicated their time and resources this holiday season to make sure our families received some extra holiday cheer. Wishing you all peace and joy in 2020!
