You are invited to attend the IRC's Advocacy Workshop Series on Saturday, April 14th from 9:00am-12:00pm at the WSU Rhatigan Student Center, RSC 233.

This workshop is one of a series of three that will give you the tools you need to advocate for refugees with relatives, friends, in your neighborhood, at church, work or school.  This first workshop has two sections.  The first part provides the facts you need to know to speak knowledgeably about refugees and refugee resettlement.  The second section will help you hone your communication skills.  In the second section we will focus on "active listening" based on the premise that to communicate effectively you have to be able to listen.
