The IRC in Elizabeth's Women In Action program is usually a ten week program where participants meet two hours weekly for job training, language skills, and encouragement. But with the most recent cohort, a group of Haitian-Creole women, their energy and employability led the Economic Empowerment team to adapt the program to a two week intensive program which met three days a week. After each session, Employment Specialists helped the women fill in job applications and used the Career Closet to choose professional clothing for their upcoming interviews.

Three of the five women were employed by the end of the two week program, and the remaining two are awaiting their employment authorization documentation. Bravo and congratulations to this resourceful group of women!
