This year’s Holiday Drive was met with excitement and joy. Every year, the IRC in NY hosts a Drive to support refugee and immigrant families preparing for the winter season. Having to resettle or navigate a significant wave of economic insecurity, many families are in need of warmer coats and winter accessories.

In celebration of World Refugee Day on June 20th, the IRC in Silver Spring profiled four individuals who came to the U.S. as refugees and went on to make significant contributions to our society.

As part of the International Rescue Committee’s national Refugee Voices initiative, New American Voices in Salt Lake City encourages refugees and other New Americans to learn more about civic engagement, advocacy, and preparing for national events like the Census and the 2020 election.

As refugees in South Africa, Jacqueline and her family feared for their lives. They were welcomed by local church members and other neighbors in Boise, Idaho.

From 1960 to 1967, the IRC helped people fleeing Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Angola, Uganda, and Nigeria. After Castro's rise to power, it soon become one of the principal agencies helping Cubans to reach America

For the second year in a row, the IRC in Wichita partnered with Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) and Wichita State University SHIFTSPACE Gallery to host the #WelcomeHome art exhibit. The exhibit featured art created by refugees recently resettled in Wichita.
