One refugee's road to success in America

24-year-old Farhad from Afghanistan has a job, goes to college and is on his way to becoming a dental assistant. None of this would be possible without a car.

Farhad borrowed $7,400 from an International Rescue Committee car loan program and makes monthly payments on time.

New data released by the International Rescue Committee reveals that resettled refugees like Farhad have a much better repayment rate—more than 98 percent compared to the U.S. average of 88 percent.

Get the facts and learn more about the IRC’s findings.
