Scope of Work

The Digital Literacy Program supports newcomers by providing essential training in computer and internet skills to help clients build independence and access vital services in the United States. This includes using email, navigating online job applications, accessing telehealth, and using tools like Zoom, Google, and Microsoft Office. The Digital Literacy Program plays a critical role in promoting digital inclusion and empowerment, particularly for refugee and immigrant populations. The program also develops tailored materials, facilitates classes and one-on-one sessions, and partners with other IRC departments to support newcomer success.

BACKGROUND

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. At work in over 45 countries and 29 U.S. cities to restore safety, dignity and hope, the IRC leads the way from harm to home. Domestically, our 29 offices across the U.S. ensure new arrivals have food, shelter, and clothing, and work with refugees to help them gain self-sufficiency.
