Join our team as a volunteer for the Employment Training Panel (EtP) program! We're seeking individuals passionate about supporting newcomers and those with work permits in our county who are eager to secure employment. As a volunteer, you'll play a crucial role in providing training in English language proficiency, job readiness skills, digital literacy, and financial literacy to program participants. Your assistance will empower individuals to find and retain employment, whether for a three-month period or a nine-month period equivalent to 500 hours.

 

RESPONSIBILIES

  • Create professional and job-specific resumes and cover letters tailored to clients' needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Develop effective outreach strategies to assist clients in securing and maintaining employment.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and conduct job interview practice sessions to enhance clients' job readiness and confidence.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Proficiency in crafting and enhancing resumes.
  • Skilled in providing one-on-one coaching for job searches.
  • Conduct mock interview sessions with each client.
  • Provide support similar to that requested by Liliana or Hilda.
  • While sessions are currently conducted virtually, interns/volunteers should accommodate in-person meetings if requested by the client.
