Farsi/Dari Speakers: Our top priority at the moment are volunteers who are fluent in both English and either Farsi or Dari to assist in smaller projects. Please contact us at [email protected] to learn more about these opportunities. 

 

Quality Assurance Volunteer: This role can be either a volunteer position or internship position. The QA team is looking for assistance with various administrative tasks such as data entry, case file reviews, and assisting with reports. 

 

ESL Enrollment Volunteer: We are searching for a volunteer who would be able to assist in enrolling our clients in English classes. This role can be accomplished fully remotely. 

 

Transportation Coordination Volunteer: We are also searching for a volunteer to help with scheduling transportation for our clients looking to attend classes with us. This role can also be accomplished fully remotely. 

 

Food Bank Transportation: We are seeking dedicated volunteers for transporting food deliveries to our clients throughout the Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Volunteers would be assigned families for delivery through our staff coordination. Occasional pickups from a community partner to our storage might also become part of the assignment.

 

Donations Storage Help: We are seeking two dedicated and highly organized individuals to assist our Community Engagement team with managing donation storage and assisting in coordinating and receiving new donations.

 

Transportation Orientation: This opportunity requires the volunteer to ride alongside and teach our clients how to use public transportation. Interpretation can be arranged if it is needed and training will be provided for this need.

 

Housing Set-Up: Our housing team needs dedicated volunteers to assist in transporting and putting together furniture for newly arriving clients.

 

Economic Empowerment Volunteer: Our Economic Empowerment team is looking for dedicated professionals to help our clients build a resume and learn how to conduct themselves in a job interview. We are ideally looking for people who have extensive experience in these aspects of employment. This volunteer position can be done remotely, but we would prefer someone willing to operate on a hybrid schedule.

 

Hygiene Kits: We are always in need of more hygiene kits. This is a collection of items used for personal and household care. We would ask that community members who are able to assist in this project purchase and put together kits.
