Giving has never been easier; no matter where you live or work, you can support the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

The IRC provides critical services and support to refugees and the communities hosting them around the world. We ensure that those whose lives have been disrupted by the chaos of war, conflict, and natural disasters have access to food, water, and shelter as well as education and health care. Learn how companies and employees can support our work.

Company matching gifts

Make your money work harder for refugees —double your donation with a matching gift.

The support of individuals like you enables the IRC to serve millions of refugees and other vulnerable people, from Syria to South Sudan and elsewhere around the world. Now, your generosity can be doubled—even tripled—with a matching gift from your company.

Many companies already match employee contributions to charitable organizations.

Please take a moment to request a matching gift form from your personnel office and follow the directions to initiate the match. Include your form with your donation to the IRC, and we will notify you when your gift has been matched.

With a matching gift, your donation can provide even more life-saving assistance to refugees around the world and enable them to rebuild their lives and nations.

For more information on making a matching gift, contact us at [email protected].

Workplace giving platforms

If your company uses an employee giving platform, select the International Rescue Committee as the beneficiary of your donations. You can find us on Benevity (ID: 135660870), YourCause, Bright Funds, Global Giving, and Fidelity Giving Marketplace by searching for “International Rescue Committee.” We regularly update these platforms with giving opportunities and content. If your company uses another platform, or you don’t see us listed, please  contact us at [email protected].

Federal government employees

You can help refugees get back on their feet through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). If you are a federal employee, you can support the work of the IRC with your CFC contribution. Please enter CFC #11113 on your campaign pledge card.

State and local government employees

Look for the IRC under Global Impact's listing in your employee giving campaign. Through Global Impact, the IRC is a part of hundreds of state and local government workplace giving campaigns. You can designate the IRC as the beneficiary of your payroll deductions or choose to make a one-time gift.

If you are a New York State employee, please select SEFA #51-307 on your campaign pledge card.

United Way

If your workplace giving program includes United Way, look for the IRC in the listing of charities and find your local chapter. Most local United Way programs also allow donors to specify a charity other than those listed. All you need to do is write in "IRC" on the "donor-option" line or provide the IRC's EIN number, 13-5660870, on your campaign giving form.

Bring the IRC into your workplace

Are you an employee whose employer does not have an employee giving program? Are you a member of an employee resource group? Are you starting up an employee giving program at your workplace? Would you like to include the IRC in your existing workplace giving campaign? If any of these apply to you, please fill out this survey and we will be in touch with you upon submission of your survey.

Creative ways to give

Consider highlighting the IRC during key times of year, such as your annual give month or week, the end-of-year holiday giving season, commemorative days such as World Refugee Day, and holidays like Mothers Day and Fathers Day. There are multiple ways to maximize impact: launch a match challenge, give Rescue Gifts, encourage employees to crowdfund to meet a collective goal. Fill out our survey and we will contact you to discuss options.
