The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, earning top marks from charity watchdog groups for our efficient and effective use of donations.
The IRC is a 501c (3) tax-exempt organization. All donations to the IRC are tax-deductible.
Thanks to the generosity of IRC supporters, more than 26 million people benefited from IRC programs and those of our partner organizations in 2016.

The IRC is consistently awarded top marks by charity watchdog groups for our efficient use of donor contributions and the effectiveness of our work. Among these:
Ten years in a row, the IRC has earned Charity Navigator's highest rating of four stars — ranking us in the top 1% of efficient and trustworthy charities.

The IRC meets all 20 of BBB Wise Giving Alliance’s accountability standards.
Of every $1 the IRC spends, more than 90¢ goes to programs and services that directly benefit people affected by crisis.
